Change something everyday out of your normal patterns to improve adaptability
We are creatures of habit, so our brains tend to resist change. Many people feel comfortable doing the same thing over and over again and feel stressed when they have to do something different. Try to do something each day that is out of your normal patterns. Say hello to someone you normally do not talk to in the office, take a different route to work or eat something different for lunch.
This new process conditions your brain to more easily adapt to changes that are out of your control. Emotionally intelligent people have high levels of adaptability. What will you do different today to increase adaptability in your life?
